February Goals: Falling in Love with Life (and Reading!) All Over Again

Hey there, lovely soul! 🙂

A brand new month is here, and with it comes a fresh set of goals. Isn’t there something just so magical about a clean slate? Today, I wanted to sit down with a cup of tea and chat with you about my heart’s journey into February.

A January of Re-blooming

My January was nothing short of wonderful. I’ve been quietly working on myself, gently tending to every corner of my life. I feel like I am re-starting—rediscovering the parts of me that I had tucked away under the weight of “to-do” lists and responsibilities.

If you’ve been following my previous blogs, you know I’ve embraced Yoga and a nourishing diet plan (and no, it’s not to lose weight—in my family, we believe in looking happy and healthy, not just skinny! Hahaha). It’s been so healing to prioritize my own joy again.

The Spark of a New Habit

Now, let’s talk about my favorite goal for this year.

Growing up, I was a very average student. But when I began studying Law, something shifted. I fell in love with reading, and suddenly, I found myself among the top students! It made me realize what I had been missing all those years: the simple power of a book.

I’ve set a romantic little challenge for myself this year: to read one novel every single month.

A January Success & Looking Toward February

“I’ll be honest with you—starting this reading challenge made me feel a little flutter of nerves. I wasn’t quite sure which stories would truly speak to my soul or what kind of books I’d fall in love with.

But then, while scrolling through Instagram, a title caught my eye like a sign: ‘We Will Always Be There For Each Other’ by Sagar Chudesara.

I have a little confession to make—I am a deeply romantic soul at heart (I admit it! Hahaha). Perhaps that’s why I find myself so naturally drawn to stories of love; there’s just something so beautiful about how a good romance can make the world feel a little softer.”

It’s a beautiful tale of four friends and a soulful love story. I actually loved it so much that I finished the whole book in January! It was the perfect way to kick off my reading journey, and it left my heart feeling so full.

A Love Story That Captured My Heart

I found myself completely lost in the pages of that book. It felt as though I was right there, walking alongside Sagar, Malar, Harsh, and Sai.

Their journey reminded me that love often arrives in the most unexpected moments of life—connecting us with people whose souls feel familiar from the very first hello.

There is one line from Chapter 20 that has been echoing in my mind:

“Can love happen in a day, or does it take a lifetime?”

It’s such a profound thought, isn’t it? I invite you to pause for a moment and ask yourself that same question. I already know my answer… it’s tucked deep within my heart.

Keeping the Momentum: My February Read

Since I’ve already crossed one book off my list, I am officially embracing my identity as a book lover again! To keep this beautiful momentum going, I’ve already started my next “page-turner” for February.

I am currently diving into “Can We Be Strangers Again?” by Shrijeet Shandilya. I can’t wait to see where this new story takes me.

Living Life on My Own Terms

I want to ask you: What is your heart’s goal for this month? Sometimes, it feels like we are all caught in an endless race, surrounded by voices that try to make us feel small.

I’ve lived through those days, too. But I’ve made a beautiful discovery: the greatest gift we can give ourselves is the courage to live a life we truly love. For me, that meant returning to the things that make my spirit feel free.

Finding My Flow: A Love Affair with the Water

One of the most joyful parts of my journey has been returning to the water. I first learned to swim back in 2018, but as life happened and responsibilities grew, I had to let it go for a while.

Since 2024, I’ve reclaimed that time for myself. For six months out of every year, I spend one sacred hour each day in the pool. It’s my sanctuary.

I’ve found a wonderful community of friends there, and it makes my heart glow to see that my consistency has inspired others to take up the practice, too! We even have a bit of friendly competition at the end of our sessions.

Chasing New Depths

I’m always looking for ways to grow. I even record videos of my laps to see where I can soften my strokes and improve my form.

Last year, I challenged myself to learn the Butterfly stroke, and this year, my heart is set on a new dream: mastering the art of underwater swimming. There is something so peaceful about the world beneath the surface—it’s where I truly find my calm.

“Since we are stepping into the month of love, why don’t we start by doing something that makes us fall deeply in love with ourselves? Whether it’s picking up a book, diving into a pool, or simply taking a moment to breathe, you deserve to be your own favorite person.

I would love to hear from you—what are your heart’s desires or goals for this month? Do write your thoughts in the comment section below! Let’s celebrate this journey together.”
